My results day adventure

I did have a long and detailed description of the interesting day I\'ve had, but a server error deleted it and I cant be bothered to type it all out again.

1. Got to college and find that the fields have been trashed by a bunch of \"travellers\" who had moved onto them during the
holidays.

2. Go inside the building and collect my A Level results:

Classics: C
Film Studies: C
Media Studies: D
Archaeology: D


3. Walk out of college and into a police roadblock. The entire town centre of Fenton was closed off and there were swarms of police cars all over it. Half way down the road, we hear an enormous bang.


4. After being abandoned by a bus that pulls out litterally as we\'re about to step onto it, I finally get home. On the welcome matt is an envelope. Inside that envelope is a piece of paper. Written on that piece of paper is this:

And now for a celebratory binge of The Evil Dead and Stargate lol

technically i aced my alevels years ago ( i got an A,C.E and D)

i did have afriend who managed to spell \"cabbage\" with his gcse results........no idea how he attained the \"g\" result.

Ok, obviously your grading scale is different.
We have A, B, C, D, & F.
So when I saw a D in Media Studies, my first thought was, \" What? You almost failed at watching TV?\"lol

Hey! I got bedsores from that TV watching!

I can\'t just sit and watch a film anymore, I have to analyse every single scene. For example, I\'m currently half way though the original Stargate and all I\'m thinking is \"wow, I like the mise-en-scene of the background, coupled with the interesting use of lighting effects to indicate the harsh desert conditions\" lol

D is about an just scraping average unfortunatly.
Its still a pass but its a low pass.

Congrats, Sworwind, on passing your A-levels and getting into to university. I never had the chance to do something like film or media studies, or even archaology; but then I wasn\'t sure what I wanted to do (careers people at my school were useless) so I ended up settling on something a teacher had told my mother on a parents evening, back when I was 13, architecture. That was a mistake, which got rectified after 3 weeks at university. The last straw was a 3-hour lecture on concrete.

Very weird and I speak from Personal Experience.

James I know that no-one looks forwards to exams. (I\'m about to have to start studying for updateded Microsoft qualifications) However you have the benefit of youth on your side, plus you won\'t have to fork out over £100 for each exam. ( Five! I have to do Five exams........Sheeeeesh)

According to the paper, the road was closed because a suspicious package had been delivered to the local NPower building across the street from the college entrance. It was looked over by police and found to be harmless.

My heart wasn\'t in sixth form. I couldn\'t stand it in fact.

When we passed, a couple of us got tattoos. I still rue that day lol
