Khargrim - Thanks! That's one thing I love about art. There are endless possibilities.
khavor- Thanks! yeah I thought it would look cool to have him charging into battle.
Well back to the heads. I'm casting copies today. View attachment 1978 View attachment 1976
Really nice heads there, how did the casts come out?
And what resin and rtv did you use, I dont recognize it.
Keep up the good work, any plans on imp guard heads?
cassar -lol unless I make him doing a flying dropkick or breaking bricks with his head.
DaGiff -Hei cast resin and Shin Etsu rtv. I live in Japan so most of my supplies are Japanese. I would rather use the rtv with the blue catalyst but cant find it around here.
Thanks guys,
I'm not as experienced at painting as you guys. I heavily used the cmon tutorial section. Here's one of the heads on a marine. View attachment 2022
Great to see one of the heads put to good use. Your painting looks pretty good. I like the weathering and damage. An army painted to this standard would look fantastic. Biggest thing that jumps out at me is the chest eagle seems a bit too white. I'd knock it back with a light wash and then just do smaller white highlights, dots at the ends of the feathers and on the head and shoulders of the bird. Is that a free handed medusa head for the chapter emblem? Looks good.
not entirely sure what it is, but the placement of weight on the legs suggests a flat out 200m sprint, more than the brute chapter symbol first warriors onslaught charge that your sketch suggests? the style and actual armour is looking great however!
Khargrim -Thanks you're right the right leg needed some repositioning.
I've started on the torso and head with my extra greenstuff pictures of those later. View attachment 2105View attachment 2106
