My usual Sunday rant... about christmas this time.

sorry but it only feel like christmas if its cold and wet

Should we switch locations? I would LOVE 37C, here it\'s only about 1C and very wet and foggy.
I only buy an expensive gift for my girlfrind. My parents will be at the maledives so they won\'t get anything from me... (except my absolute envy)
My frinds get some cards and some selfmade x-mas cookies.
As for the rest of the family we decided to \"wichtel\" today. I don\'t know if anyone knows this: All names are written on little notes and then everyone draws one. So everyone has to buy one present for one other person. This reduces my x-mas stress very much!

Got that right. Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere is rather different. How is it possible to eat turkey and gammon and all that hot stuff, to be followed by hot christmas pudding, when it\'s 33°C? More than four bodies in the same room makes it too hot even. A lot of people here do Christmas in July, just to do that northern hemisphere christmas stuff.

Well, firstly, we tend to do christmas dinner on christmas eve because it\'s so hot, so that\'s when we get the turkey and the ham and the magic christmas pudding and everything. Then christmas day is leftovers and braai.

As far as christmas present shopping, mine is done. finished it up on Saturday, wrapped and all. hehe.
