Hi folks,

Well the contest is over and now we get to post our entries and I thought I would go ahead and post mine.

I enjoyed painting this one though I have to say the flash and mold lines about had me throwing my hands up in disgust at first.

That and its interesting to see what type of comments you get when people are voting and they don\'t know who it is. Found some insightful comments that I think some people might have held back on otherwise. Got some nice ones too that made me smile.

Opinons and votes welcome and wanted.

Hey thanks once again for running this contest. It was fun even if the mini was not the best casted one. I like the conversion you did with this. I was not a big fan of the squid.

I\'ll retake the photos of my sharky and post them...since I abhor the ones I used for the contest. :p Probably won\'t happen until this weekend.

Yeah I want to do some touching up on mine and then I will post some new pictures of it here.

My copies of the shark were soooo badly cast I had to spend several days fiddling with the sharks with sanding, rebuilding, sculpting, etc. Just to get them them in a condition that was even remotely paintable. :/

I was going to give the poor beach shark pants anyhow, but his cast was so bad it ended up needing it just so the tail would look semi-reasonable. The end result was that both of mine were extremely last minute in assembly and everything was very fastly speed painted, the sharks getting the neglected end of that.

That WAS the other title I considered. :)

@ Drake Farstrider - Those little fishes in the bags took forever. Some were scultped, like Nemo; others were from a children\'s fishing game, or metal charms from a craft store, just primed and re-painted. I placed them in the smallest plastic bags I had (1/2 inch), poured in some realistic water and wired them shut. Hung them up so the fishes would dry in the right angle. But, sadly, unlike Tracy\'s water, my water stayed a liquid. And I didn\'t get to use my sea turtle. :(

Sweet, I thought that may have been how you did it. :D I think with Realistic Water, you have to do it in small layers.

Have a laugh...

Hi All! Want to post my sharky, but we\'re still at the beach. We\'ll (i.e. Grumb) will take better pics of mine and we\'ll post it this weekend.

The funny thing is - Scott\'s out shark fishing now (I\'m really not kidding!) He, the boys, and friends & their kids are out shark fishing. They took a camera so hopefully we\'ll get some pics!

Thanks again Nathan for running this contest. I had a really good time working on it!
