My honest opinion is that the figure looks twice as good without the base.

If they both came up for voting the figure only one would get a 9 or 10 from me and the one with the large base would probably get a 7.

Sometimes less is more.

The figure itself is very neat and has great rich colouring.
Good luck with the auction.

Lovely figure great painting. The display base is very nice, although I would do something with the field grass, as it seems to be distracting. I would also do a little more with the rock.
