Hi all CMONers!
Some of longer timers might recognize this time of year when I start begging for help for a trvia kontest my friends and family compete in. Every year, the event organizers hand out a poorly photocopied packed of images and during the weekend they ask some questions about them. So far we\'ve figured out/confirmed 18 out of thirty pics and I\'m posting some here hoping to see if any of you know anything about the ones we have left.
To answer a few questions that usually come from a posting like this...
1. It\'s for a fifty hour marthon in February that out local Uni throws.
2. No, there are no prizes, just bragging rights over the teams behind you and the comraderie of friends and family you see once a year (like Christmas without the gifts!).
3. We don\'t know what they\'ll ask so we find out as much as we can, track down any lead.
4. Some forums complain \"aren\'t you supposed to find out for yourself?\" This is finding out to the best of our abilities. We\'ve had 30 people searching for nearly a month already before we start heading to the online forums for help. We can use all available resources as long as they\'re not illegal.
5. No, it\'s not Humphrey Bogart, as much as people say it looks like him
6. Please, if you can\'t offer help or advice/clues/leads, simply don\'t respond. It\'s all in research and fun. (You would be surpised how angry/indignant some people can get when someone asks for thier help...)
Our basic premise is, the more people you show things to, the better chance you have of someone recognising something. We\'ve been through our own personal libraries, the local libraries, online, and asked nearly everyone we know.
This year they\'ve been pretty diabolical and very good about \"Google-proofing\" the photos so some of these will most likely generate the WTF? response. Yeah, us too!
