Alright everyone (who may still be interested). The contest is over and it was a doooooozy. It\'ll be a couple of day before I get back to something resembling normal and a couple weeks before my house resembles a home and not a bombed out crater. We placed 14th, pretty good standings for a smaller team - we\'re pretty happy with it.
For those seeking the \"answers\" to the visuals posted here, here\'s quick rundown...
The Sink: As posted earlier during the contest, they wanted to know where you would find this sink. You would find it in Kenny Chesney\'s Bathrrom. I\'m assuming it\'s either from teh liner notes from a cd of his or an article in a coutry magazine about the new house he recently purchased. We got the answer by guessing.
The Moose: They wanted his name and title. His name is Seymour Moose and he\'s the Spokesperson of Goodwill for Anchorage Alaska. We got this the day before the contest by Googling.
Scary, Hairy GuyThis is Garech Browne, heir to the Guinness Brewery. The question was to name the person, who he was an heir to, and what special thing did he do to his estate. As posted earlier, he white-sanded his black lake to look liek a glass of Guiness. I think that\'s pretty awesome! We got this one by first guessing the name of the estate he was an heir to. I was actually drinking a Guiness AND wearing Guiness branded sleep pants when I called this answer in. Thigns can be like that sometimes.
Mad Scientist Guy Professor Saurnoggin . Again, thanks to GrimTeef who found this for us. It was worth 100 points (which is a lot) and not that many teams got this one. Free cookies for GrimTeef!
The Rock Yeah - I wasn\'t awake for this one but making a long story short, they wanted to knwo what the name of it was and here\'s all the details...
http://groups.msn.com/GeneralHospitalHappe...ncessstory.msnw Needless to say, we did not get this one.
The Carpenter Kid They wanted to his name. It was Leo Darga (I\'m guessing at the spelling here...) No we
still don\'t know what he\'s noted for or what trivial reason he was included. We didn\'t get this one either.
Number Puzzle They wanted to know what game this puzzle logo is associated with. The answer is Numble, we failed again.
The Candies As they look like, Junior and Dot. They just wanted thier names.
Not Humphry Bogart This one was worth 250 points (the most possible). The clue was \"Here\'s Looking at You, Kid\". Name this Bogart look-a-like. After 50 hours, we completely missed the clue in the q, which was \"Kid\". We got a partial for the name Dan, but could not pull the rest of his name. He is Dan Gerber, the founder of Gerber Foods (of the Gerber Baby Foods type). Yep - pretty obtuse clue - again, they\'re like that some times.
Over all we had a blast as usuall. I got 8 hours of sleep between Fri. morning, 6 am through Mon. morning at 2am when the bars closed. That nets about 8 out of 68 hours. Not too shabby. We had one guy who got two hours - just two. Glad I\'m not him!
Again, thanks to everyone who helped with ideas and suggestions, we all really appreciate all the help.
