My Zombie Casting

Hello everyone,

Here are some photos of a casting of my original zombie sculpt...

ZombieCasting.jpg

Some guys on the discussion board said that I ought to post it here. I cast it because I need several for a D&D adventure that I am DMing. An earlier post of a quickly painted version can be found here...http://coolminiornot.com/236787 I sculpted it in Aves Apoxie Sculpt, Made a 2 part silicone mold, and cast it in a pressure pot with a fast curing resin. The figure is 38mm tall. It is my first attempt at a mini. As discussed on another thread, I know that the proportions are off (it was originall going to be a 30mm figure). Anyway, I will try a couple of variations (adding clothing, etc.) and a few different paint jobs. I will also possibly sell a few on ebay if anyone is interested. I hope you guys like it and please feel free to comment and critique.

Thanks:snicker:

Hi,

for your first sculpt it looks nice.

for your next sculpt here are some hints:
the legs a little to short and the shoulders are to Large.

by the way the painted version of your Zombie looks nice to.

Keep it up

kindest regards
Shaper

Thank you Shaper and SuperVike. For my next I have carefully measured out the armature and I am doing the body, legs, and arms as one this time. I will still do the head seperately (because it is just so much easier to work around it that way).

I have another question about my zombie. I am listing a casting on ebay tomorrow. Should I put the auction number on my post of the painted zombie and just state that the auction is for an unpainted casting, or should I make another post with the photo of the unpainted casting? I have heard that people don't like multiple postings of the same figure here. Also, is it considered wrong to put a link to an ebay auction in your signature? I'm just trying to learn the correct protocol. Thank you everyone for all of your help.

Thanks,
Jason

A quite much convincing zombie though the strange anatomy. For your auction, I think you should put the auction number on your post of the painted zombie.
