That project runs rather smooth, and i`m very happy with this. That ogre is truly wonderful miniature. Especially, when you have some Tamiya putty nearby to fix the flaws. Say, that chainmail on his hips was worst chainmail sculpting i ever seen. When i`ve done this by first time i performed better 0___0. Anyway, i resculpted chainmail to cloth and so be it. I think, i will do next WIP shots in my lightcube.

Looking good! Love the rusty axe and the wool texture on his shirt - looks like there's some chipping on his foot?

thanks. here are next bunch of pics
Tis is my econd week with that orge pal. Still, keep finding flaws that have to be fixed with Tamiya, and this is really slows down me a lot. Thinking about making the wool texture more accurate. Looks like my first try with body hair was rather successful, regarding the scale... i think there are a week or two to finish.

I really love the character you're bringing out of this ogre. I remember painting him when it first came out. Nakatan, are you planning to tone down the rust on the axe head? It is really bright and fresh looking, but it seems out of place to me in its current state.

Incredible. I feel this figure is perfect for your unmistakable technique. Thanks, as always, for sharing.

Could you tell me which Tamiya putty you're using for fixing scultping & casting flaws? I've been using Milliput & Green Stuff but I'm looking for a new product.

This is quite possibly my new favourite paint job. The ogre was my first ever mini so I have a bit of a soft spot for him. I just can't believe how good this finish is. The detail is so understated, but each time I look it gets better. I've just spent 15 minutes staring at him arm hair!
