Well, it mostly done by "feel". i do not have any specific recipe, just trying to equalize visual masses here and there.

I really like the affect of the yellow rays around the skull on the hull plate. Very nice look.

thanks. this is one of abstractions shown here. real battlefield of 40k must look like doosted piles of gore. that will have rather unpleasant and simple look, so... i did it "clean"

I like the clean look. Gives a bit of an ethereal effect, obviously a scene of destruction but with no obvious cause.
As always, incredibly good stuff

I think the expressions on the faces of the fallen are much more evocative than pools of blood and gore! I love this!
