Naming Conventions

A Question for all you artistic minding folks out there. I\'m working on the new Baneblade model (hehe, 15 years of \"lusting\" after one, and it is finally mine! Huzzah!)lol Now I have to just name the dang thing.
So here\'s whats going on in my little mind. I\'ve got the the two sets of names, one name for this tank and one for her sister, I just need which of the two sound better. And of course nose art which I have and will try to get in to my computer and online at sometime in the near future, here or in a WIP.

Of course in my finite stupidity, I can not seem to get this poll thing to work properly. So here are the chooses:
1. \"Blessing of Angels\" and \"Grace of Innocents\"
or
2. \"Grace of Angels\" and \"Blessing of Innocents\"

Nope, don\'t like either choice. I know they are somewhat cannon for 40k, but neither one Sings as it were.

Course now I have seen an M1 named Cafe con Leche - which I think would make a good name for a Baneblade.

I don\'t like either... I prefer big ego tripping names like \"Virtuous cleanser of the corrupt\" or something like the Wup-ass 5000 :D

I agree with that lot. Nobody is innocent in the 40k universe that\'s the whole point. There\'s not one race that I could describe as \"the good guys\". Baneblades need big pretentious names like Yarricks \"Fortress of Arrogance\".

I called my new one \"Righteous Indignation\", 10 bonus points for the first person to recognise where that came from lol

Oh, now Airhead \"Wraith of Angels\" I\'m liking the sound of that. I may go with that for the Shadowsword conversion. I\'m thinking of doing something like the old Armourcast Baneblade where you can replace the center of the tank with a different version. So Baneblade, Stormblade, Shadowsword \"Dues Ex Machina\", Stormsword \"Little Thumper\", and the one with the two turrets/ four battle cannons, and maybe one with dual Heavy Mega Vulian bolters (Malutios <sp>heavy tank/new forgeworld)

Pedestal of winter sounds more like an Eldar name to me.

Don\'t forget you can name them after important personages from the 40k universe too (it works better if you make up important sounding names rather than just calling it the \"Commander Dante\" or whatever). \"Cardinal Bortras\" or \"Guardian of Aquinas\" for instance. The names of Death metal bands also work quite well.

If in doubt have a flick through the Imperial fleet lists for BFG on the Specialist games site as they are all good Imperial sounding names.

boy I just looked a little closer to the drawing, and boy does she have the forearms of Popeye.

Cafe le What? there Steelcult????

Oh and Airhead, I was thinking of the grace that an angel would have, and not any blessings of grace it would bestow. Just the idea of something as big and lumbering as a Baneblade, or any tank in the Imperial warehouse having grace, funny.

Cafe con leche = coffee with milk, it\'sa dumb name, real men take their coffee black, or at most with whisky/brandy or rum in it. Old ladies drink Cafe con leche

What about mother\'s milk, or the all time classic, Lola, the bane blade, or why not Vera for that matter?:cool:
Yeah, Vera the bane blade\'s gotta a nice ring to it.:twisted:
