First time working on the Reaper Bones range. Not quite the easiest thing to prep or paint up but makes dragons easy to put together :) There is more i would have liked to have done on Narthrax but I'm happy with him as is for now (for the Gods and Monsters contest)
Here's the vote thingy

Really great outcome of the dragon crystella! I think you got the icy look you had in mind quite correct. Water ad base looks good too, allthough it's difficult to see on picture. The only thing that come to my mind which you can improve are the eyes imho. Though they are always a difficult part. Two thumbs up from me and now I go over to vote on entry.

Thanks Jike Ichi
The eyes were not easy to get at and also in picking a good colour to contrast against all the pale tones. One of the things that lets the Bones models down is you can't always see the missing details til you start trying to pull them out with paint.
The water base was alot of fun but this dragon really does hide it :( Here's a montage of the best angles I could get.

I loved the colors on the dragon. The water effects on the base look fantastic too. They are very realistic and impressive. You did a great job!

Thanks Moetle, believe it or not its just green stuff, white basecoat with a green/blue ink washes and UHU glue on the waves* to give it a bubbly effect covered with gloss varnish.

*with small touches of white too

This really turned out good. I will be using the color scheme as reference if i ever get moving on my Gauth mini. Gotta love the Bones minis for price and availability of models that make no sense in other materials...but also have to hate it for the infinite mold lines that are challenging to remove and the softer details.

That's why I'll be getting a big 5 headed beastie ^_^
The mold lines are just something that you end up getting use to, at least it works nicely with green stuff

yeah the five headed beast master looks pretty awesome. I also hope the 3D render of the aquatic dragon turns out great as well.
