Hi peeps

I\'m looking for some information.

Particularly I\'m looking for a list of all the nationalities in the world (its small I know) lol If anyone knows of a website where there is a complete list, please can you put the link up for me :D

To clarify this point, all Swedes are of Danish descent....therefor the former post should read

How detailed a list you looking for Shaz? You might try the UN site - I think they list down to nationalities with like 2-3 people in them.

Edit -

Sorry Shaz - couldnt find anything useful on the UN Site, and the list Dr E gave seems awful short.

BTW, just to close the argument, its not Swedish or Danish, its English and foreigners. I thought everyone knew that!

Well it\'s a good thing you weren\'t looking for any ethnic group names.

Then it would probably be Kanaka Maoli and Haoles

I know you found what you were looking for but Im curious was it Nationalities you were looking for ..Like Im an American, your brittish..ect... or peoples ethnic backgrounds..as in Im pretty much German... Some countries are such big melting pots figureing out ethnich backgrounds for a populatin would be very hard.

It was definately nationality and not ethnic group I was looking for. I don\'t think I have enough hours in a day to collate the data for that one! I also truncated the list of spoken languages from 7,399 down to 109 (including other).

Isn\'t database work fun?!?

Historical fact, the entire state of Sweden was once under Danish rule. All them Swedes was Danes!

Wait a minute, the Danes ruled for a while on the British Isles too, didn\'t they.....??????

If her grandparents were Swedish, then they came from the southern reaches of the country, from an area called Skåne, pronnounced sconé.

Deadly wars were fought here by the rebellious natives against the rightbul Danish overlords in centuries past ... now the hospitals in Copenhagen send patients over to Skåne for treatment, the Swedes having extra medical capacity ....and they\'re cheap, too! Those crafty Swedes!lol

Sorry, I deleted my post to edit it, here it is again.

My wife wants to know what she is, since her grandparents came from Skoneland (or should it be called Scania?)

There are two nationalities in the world: the USA and all the people we\'ll eventually have to pay reparations to.:(
