Neat REAPER minis ... just sharing ...

Someone posted a reaper miniature a bit back and I really enjoyed it (I rarely dig through the hordes of stuff at the hobbie shop) so I started looking about and found some that I particularly enjoyed and thought I would share along with the rest of you and see what you thought about these and if you had any that you were particularly fond of.

Your tastes my vary of course.

Ghoul King - Fat Bastard that I just painted - can\'t wait to share him with ya\'ll
Clay Golem - I LOVE this one and will paint it soon
Arrius the Black - Love a good undead warrior
Blackguard Talarand - The shield on this is FANTASTIC!
Flesh Golem - Intersted in doing some dead flesh.
Matthias the Twisted - Nosferatu - Appeals to me, like the cloak
Elise, Witch - A scantily clad witch stradling a pumpkin - does it get better?!
Marcus Giddeon, Undead Hunter - Love the pose and the sword
Logar the Executioner - I like it! Dremel the base off and we have winner
Gauntfield the Scarecrow - GREAT looking mini
Malek Blackmarrow, Necromancer - LOVE this one, except for the batwings
Lightbringer, Sir Malcolm - Like the pose and the shield - simple.
Crimson Knight Athak - Shield .. need I say more?!?
Freya Fangbreaker - Busty, Dangerous, Dwarf ... all good!

That guy with the skull shield reminds me of the ones on the GW dark elf spearmen. I wish I could just buy it and the other face shield seperately.

I agree about the sheilds and even swords. I love the shields that have something interesting on them - I don\'t like painting a blank shield and free-handing it - I just suck at it and having something on it is so much more dynamic IMHO.

Same with swords, I love to see runes and the like on them!

Perhaps one of the miniature makers around here might take a HINT and make something like this available to everyone. I\'m sure they will sell.

Aye, Talarand, Blackguard\'s been on my list for a while. But if you really want something nice, try converting their goblins! Top notch. All their stuff\'s great, and i\'m sure in no time you\'ll be swimming in Reaper Swag!lol

I look at these pics and think I wish we could get them here instead of only being able to get them from the US. It would be so cool if I could walk into a stockist and walk out again with my arms full of more fantastic bits of shiny metal.

Hopefully those shields will be available in the Boneyard of the Reaper store soon - I\'m surprised they aren\'t there already.

As for your list, I\'ve painted several of them and cannot argue with any of your choices. I would add the new Dark Maiden figure (not one I would paint, but I look forward to seeing what some folks out there might do with it) the just released Wereshark...

If they happen to stock them any time soon, give a shout if you would - I rarely run across their site but that is something I would be very much in the mood to buy when it comes out.

As for your two additions, yeah, the Dark Maiden is an interesting one, but truthfully, I don\'t quite understand it. Interesting though.

The Wereshark on the other hand is pretty cool and likely to make my list when it finally comes out ... though it does seem to have something wrong with its gills. Too many of them or wrong way? Both? Dunno ... strikes me as odd is all.

I would certainly never recommend buying him, making a press-mold of the shield with greenstuff, and making copies...

Supposed to be the masthead of a ship, in the process of coming to life to defend the vessel, if I\'m not mistaken.

He\'s out. He was at my FLGS this past week, so keep your eyes peeled. He does have too many gills for a real shark...but not a *were*shark.

I\'ve tried doing a green stuff press before ... didn\'t work out, maybe I should try it again, though the stuff is abominably expensive to bugger it up too many times.

I do love Reaper minis. I doubt I\'ll add most of the ones you list to my collection, my preference generally being for the good guys, but they\'re all great figs. I did paint up Freya Fangbreaker, and she is a very nice mini. I\'m quite happy with her. I\'ve got to get some pics.

I read your post sniffles and I went \'huh?\' and then I caught the big about \'good guys\' and then I went and looked at my list ...

Ghoul, twisted, executioner, blackmarrow ... the words started jumping out at me and I \'aaaaah, I see!\'

You know, I didn\'t even realize it, but yeah, I guess you could say I like the darker or more \'dangerous\' types of miniatures.

Eyeballing collection now and picking out but a single human ...

Don\'t fear the Reapers....

I have on ongoing \'wish list\' of Reaper minis. So many excellent sculpts!

But so many other new shiny minis appear and it distracts my attention....

I\'ll go back and look, but I think the shield is part of the mini - not a separate glue-on item.

As to the Dark Maiden masthead, she is for Resig\'s Revenge - an undead pirate crew in the Warlord game - No stats for her yet, but I suspect she will fight as a \"Monster\" or \"hero\". Just a suspicion, but Resig\'s Revenge will probably be the first faction book out for the Warlord Game.

The shields are seperate, bought the miniatures last night.

Now ... to mold the buggers and make some resin casts so I can equip some of my other miniatures with some cool shields ... or, if Reaper will get off their duff, I\'ll buy a pack from them.
