Necromunda underhive diorama

Hi all, I hope you are well. My current project is a diorama detailing a small part of the underhive. I have a few mini\'s in mind for this piece and will post some images of them once I have gotten them together! For now though, here is the start of the piece :

Cheers mate,
here are not many users working on some Necromunda stuff, so it thrills me to watch your very promising looking project. Keep it up! What did you use for the turbine or ventilation thing?!

Hi there, thanks for the comment! The body of the ventilation turbine was made from matchboxes and the plastic circle is actually a turret sponson from a 40k rhino kit! I just wrapped some card in a circle and superglued it to the plastic sponson to make it protrude more! The fan itself is matches poked into green stuff lol

Hi, just a quick question I have been trying to use GW water effect formula but it has dried with cracks in it - anybody know why this is ? Was planning on having a green sump you see....... Cleezy thanks for the comment am painting it up as I type lol (multitasker). The mini\'s are ready but I will add them to the diorama at the end.

because it is shite. try something else, varnish, silicone sealant, pva, water effects from woodland scenics

Hi again FreakinaCage, that GW stuff is very poor - a waste of 20 odd quid!! Its all dried really cracked - going to just remove it and use PVA and varnish. Thanks for the input, an update is incoming.....ETA = this afternoon lol

I maybe about 15yrs too late, but i\'ve just started playing Necromunda so am keeping a close eye on this, as I\'m starting to make my own terrain. I really like the fan/ventilation part and it gave me some inspiration :)

I\'d recommend the woodland scenics water effect, had some god results with it. Which gangs are you going to use??

Hi there Gapow, Necromunda is one of GW\'s finest (in my opinion) ! I was toying with maybe not actually using necromunda gangers as I have a particular idea/theme in mind, which I will let you all see a bit later, maybe tomorrow when the minis are TOTALLY finished (almost now)

Sounds intreguing!! As my signature suggests I\'m a very casual player, only painted 5 marines, and half a land speeder in 20yrs,lol. Necromunda always appealed to me but never bought it, but my mates dug it out the loft and I have the bug. Can\'t wait to see your ideas.

Hi folks, just a small update tonight. I have started to paint the diorama up somewhat, any suggestions for the colour of the doors (opposite the ventilation system by the computer monitor) would be great as I am a little stuck as to what colour/s would suit. Many thanks!

I really am looking forward to see the result. Which models are you going to use?

I dreamt of a true-scale Space Marine, but he wouldn\'t have much to do with Necromunda, would he.

I suggest to use some graffiti, poster, trash etc.
I\'m realy curious what minis you gonna use

I\'d go with a really weathered dark metallic, with the black and yellow stripes at the edges

graffiti and rubbish (cans papers bags boxes etc) are a must. also i would get some textured paint and paint over the polystyrene as it looks like...polystyrene
