necrons and orks help

K i suck at painting but i love bulding minis
i have spent the equlivalnt on random blisters to about a 4000pt nid army (as u all know to make an effetive bug army u need about 1billion box sets of gaunts...) now ive decided to buckle down an try to paint a few of \'em starting with my necron lord and ork warboss. The lord\'s body comes from the new one with the res orb, i then used a destoyer lord war syth and fist (one with out orb). The warboss is the one with the attack squig, but i added the shin gaurd of a sm dread as a sholder pad, and repalced the attact squig with a claw. I AM TOTALY LOST AND HAVE NO IDEAS ON HOW TO PAINT THEM. i dont like silver \'crons so i though about painting the lord green and black with NO SILVER OR METALICS. I have no clue on the warboss. I bought him \"caz orks are cool and they just gota new face lift. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thx

Cruise the gallery and look for Nec\'s and Orks. See if any catch your eye. There\'s nothing wrong with simply copying what you see. Especially if you don\'t know which direction you want to go in.

Simply start. Do something and then post WIP\'s. It would be easier to advise that way.
