Ned paints once an ice age

Hi all

I thought it was about time I actually started a thread on here rather than just look at all the pretty pictures.

Been painting since around 1994 but still feel very crap at it, like quite a few others I started with GW but have started spreading my wings with other companies over the past few years.

But my main problem is that I very rarely even get close to finishing a figure before getting either distracted by something else or just losing interest, plus my 6 month old son has chosen to scream his head off anytime I try and go into my mancave to paint so don't expect many updates this millenium.

Onto the (badly painted) goodies

I started these ages ago and they are on my soon to do list once I've finished my Shadowsword

I've been trying out silly putty as a mask and I can certainly see why scale modellers have been using it over bluetack, the stuff is fantastic.

C+C more than welcome.

Love the camo! And you're painting doesn't have a lot of issues, or at least ones that I could provide advice upon. Only critique I could see is that the two women seem to be a bit glossy.

Many thanks much appreciated, I'd used flow improver when painting the girls so that might be the cause of the glossy look, hopefully I can get some more paint thrown on them real soon.

Finally managed to get the green done, it's a bit rough in some places and a few bits need touching up but what do you guys think, keep it as it is or go ahead and add some brown patches to go for tri camo?

Predusting done, the picture came out with quite an orange tint on the tank on the front hull despite it being roughly the same tint as the side picture shows.

Well hopefully you can see how dusty, dirty and faded the paint is, my picture taking ability seems to have gone the way of the dodo. Been having great fun doing streaking dirt with weathering powders down the sides of the tank (bloody covered myself in the stuff last night). Tracks next (totally hate cleaning tracks up, one of the worst things I hate about modelling). Then spray some soot in a few places, go back over with some more dust to tie everything together a bit more, seal the powders in and then hopefully I can put this on the shelf and move onto my macharius vanq
