I havent gotten any helpful comments on my recent submission, so I was hoping that it would be ok to post here and ask for some advice.

Does anyone have any suggestions? What would you do with it? Color choices? Etc, etc...

I know that kinda takes the fun out of it, but as this is my first mini, I feel I could use a little direction.

Thanks so much for any replies =)

1. Thin your paints. look how lumpy the flesh coloured area in her armpit is, for instance. That\'s from applying the paint too thickly.

Putting a thin dark line of colour seperateing the various areas (where the clothing meets the skin for example) will help give better definition. This is very important especially when you have similar colours sitting next to one another, such as your blue cloth.

Read the articles, they really are helpful.

Check out all the step by step painting a figure guides. Here is the link to the one that inspired me

Ok -

First, the flesh paint looks a little thick - thin it down and put it on in layers rather than one fell swoop.

Secondly, the eye looks like someone just goosed her - go back with the flesh tone and make the area of white smaller - there are several articles out there on doing eyes - http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/74

Other than that, its a good first attempt.
