So essentially, I'm looking to part with my wolves so I can pay off some visa debt and pay for a vacation I'm planning next spring. That and I've had a good run with the army. They placed second in painting at the 2011 throne of skulls (got robbed there), and were in last months white dwarf.

Hard to tell what's in it by the pics, but I have... land raider, 5 custom termies, logan, gamesday wolf priest, custom rune priest, 20 grey hunters, 3 drop pods, 5 scouts, 16 fenrisian wolves, a total of 8 long fang weapons, and a few spare power armor models to toss around. As well as a custom cut case to fit it all.

So basically.... i don't know if I should just toss it on ebay and start the price high, or if there are sites that I can go to post this at, or ways to get word out that there's a high profile army for sale? Basically I just don't want to waste $20 listing it on ebay and get nothing from it.

Anyone with experience selling stuff like this have a rough value they can think of? I'm hoping for $2k+ if I can manage it

I'd say ebay would probably be the quickest route (depending on how high or low you set your reserve). However you plan on selling it (and especially if you do it through ebay) you should make sure to post info on the various warhammer and warhammer-friendly forums. The more people who know about the sale and can see pictures to know the quality of the pieces, the better off you'll be.

How fast do you want to move them? Are you trying to do this ASAP or would you be okay if it takes another 6 months to find a buyer?

I'm not in an immediate rush, but I'd like to move it before christmas if I can. But yeah good tip on the various forums. I'd advertise the listing everywhere I can. I'm thinking I might hold off on ebay and just advertise it on dakkadakka, bartertown, etc for a while

I hate to tell you but if you go via eBay you will be lucky to break $600 if the UK market is anything to go by. You will get far more via a private sale to someone that is actually enthusiastic about the work you have put into them. Unfortunately whole armies tend to realise poor prices. Selling generically painted "bent" or "op" units for the tournament scene seems to have the best return at the moment.

A reserve is going to be your friend if you go the auction route do not cheap out on piece of mind.

I think if you drilled out the gun barrels you'd probably get the more picky folks interested that might pay you a more decent amount of money.
