need advise on recreating effect.

I really like the effect/shading on the carapace/scything talons on this model.

I believe it is dipped, but i do not want to dip the whole model and lose out on detail.

Does any 1 no the name of the dip likley to be used? and is there a way i can create the effect on purly selected parts without dipping the whole model?

have you tried pm\'ing the maker? i think it is dipped (it says so in the title)

You can always apply it with a brush . But in that case, better use a brush you don\'t care much about and have Whitespirit to clean it up.
