It looks very good! You obviously planned out your materials and contruction well beforehand. the one thing i think it could use is a bit more personality. Try weathering the rocks a bit. Also, add some other kinds of shrubs and flock to parts to break it up. Also, you can give washes to parts of the grass to make it look a little less even too. Other than these suggestions, I have to say it\'s a fantastic creation for you\'re first ever attempt! :)

When you are about ready to paint the cut foam give it some sanding with with some rough grit sandpaper or a scouring pad just to smooth out the sharp edges.

Also maybe a little sand/grit/dirt in the crevases of the floor stones would help out as well.

Excellent work

This looks great... I love scenery and dioramas. This looks like a great basis for display piece.

I am not an engineer, but one thing that struck me immediately is the construction of the window.

The way it has been done looks as though the builders built a wall first, and then having completed construction, they then set about it with picks and the window was hewn out of the stone forming the wall. The remaining stone forming the left side of the window is much thinner than that on the right, giving it an unbalanced look.
If you take a look at pictures of real castles and such, the windows are contructed out of individual carved/cut stones and are normally fairly symetrical, with the left and right being well balanced.

I hope you take this as a constructive observation and not as some slight on your excellent work. :)

Sure thanks!

Cutting out that window was a difficult task... anyone have any tips on how to do this properly?

It looks great over all. I just have to little things to say about it. The first one is that the stones looks a little bit big, nobody would be able to build anything with stones that big. you have a big part of just flat stone showing maybe you could carve it to make it like the rest. other then that good job.
