Following my wife's advice (she got some kind of certificate on anthropology, and australia always been one of her favourite subject), i added some color. I wouldnt call it done yet, as i think it still needs something on the lower part of the leg and maybe something on his fingers, but i think it gives a pretty good idea what it'll look like. None will be 100% alike, but all will have those 3 color, with roughly the same pattern.

Enkiel,

I've been watching this thread for a while (sorry for not giving any input). I really like what you've now added. Can't wait to see more.

Those dots are really looking great, and the addition of colour. Using only white, fine dots, yoy'd have run the risk it looking like a butcher's butching steak-chart. :D Which it doesn't now, the warpaint's looking ace.

Here's my fourth orc ; Calzag, the Big Stabba Carrier. nothing really special, except that he'll get a much different base than the others once i get to it, since he's supposed to be on a 50x25 base.

how are you painting them? Pencil, or some fancy pen? (last one would be handier and fancier ^_^)

Hmmm... the McGuyver in me suddenly thinks that perhaps a quill or other antique-type ink pen with thinned paint might be a lot faster for the same result.

While the quality of your brush work is very,; very good, I assume it's also rather time consuming, no?

Quite frankly, this project is all about taking my time, and only painting when i really want to (no rush, no deadline, nothing). So i'm perfectly fine with painting it by brush. And i'm not sure i could get bright color like that on such a dark green with pens.

Looking good. Ah, a slow project, love those. :D I spent two years to finish my Forgeworld marine. :)

Problem i'm facing is that i really want to play that army... but i dont wanna rush building it... so i have to work really hard to keep it a "slow project"

Worked hard not to take them for a build'n'Bash this summer, so i'm keeping my very slow pace... The last one was particulary annoying because the weapon he was holding gave me all kind of problem to paint, and i ended up just trying something and leaving it as is...

Good news is that i did finish Calzag, and have Druzzt built and primed. My goal is to at least paint him up this month.
