Need Help from the UK Folks!

Hi Everyone!

This one is directed more to the people living in the UK (I\'m in the US) although I\'ll take help/hints/pointers from anyone, anywhere. Does anyone recognize this picture?

Weird Pipe Map

It looks to me some kind of map of a water system maybe and I\'m assuming it\'s in London as I think the silhouette at the bottom is of London Bridge, Big Ben, etc. The legend seems to have been blanked out so I have no idea what the numbers mean.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Not English here but it kinda reminds me of one I saw of the London Underground somewhere - course I could be a bit off.

Big Ben isn\'t really that kind of shape, it looks more like the telecom tower. Also you mean Tower Bridge, London Bridge is just a plain old bridge lol

It looks like it\'s from some kind of steampunk thing to me. Where did you find it originally?

Well, I\'ve tried comparing it to London\'s tube network, sewer system and road maps and it doesn\'t look like it fits any of those. Of course, it would only be a small part so I may just not have seen it in those maps.

I think it\'s a made up map, and although those do look a bit like London land marks they are only based on them and aren\'t actually supposed to be them.

Thanks for the Bridge correction Undave. Not too sharp on landmarks outside the US. lol

The image come from a packet of picks for a trivia contest. They\'re kinda like a visual scavenger hunt. We don\'t know what they\'ll ask about them but we can make basic assumptions. This is one of them.

I\'m making the assumption that it\'s not an exact map of something, but something describing how something works, are the part of a system. Maybe a graphic made for a magazine article of a childrens resource of some sort to convey a particular idea of how maybe the waterworks system works or something...I really don\'t know.

And for those wondering \"what do you get if you win, why would I give you the answer if I can get it instead....?\" It\'s really a team driven event. There are 450 questions asked over a period of 3 days, this is only one. You would need to get roughly 75% of the questions right to take the top 10.

Thanks for looking into what you guys do know.

Did they give you any more information like a question, or just give you this picture and said what is it?

EDIT: Sorry just read your post fully

Not really - they give us the pictures - we research what we can. During the contest, at random, they\'ll reference the visual packet and ask a question about one of the images. We have no idea what the question will be. I\'m assuming they blanked out the legend on the left side so we can\'t just Google some bit of copy that would give it right away. They\'re sneaky like that.
