Need Help Getting To GD

Hiya, Iv got my GamesDay ticket, but unfortunately havn\'t got a way to get to Birmingham.

All the trains and buses don\'t arrive there until about 11am so I would miss most of the morning.
Plus an overnight stay is pretty much out of the question as Im skint (though if I don\'t get a lift Laura is going to come down and stay overnight with me, but thats going to be an extra £100 or so)

Even f I could get a train or bus somewhere then get a lift from there, would be great, but getting a train to Birmingham is a no-go.

Though I have been told to check later on for any drop outs, but if there isn\'t any, it will be to late to get any thing else sorted.

So there is a possibility, but its going to be a big chance.

That sounds like shite organisation surely if they fill one bus they will look at putting on anther one if there are enough people???

Cardiff shop nearly always used to put on two buses, not sure if they still do though.

That sucks I always take the GW bus, it serves as a good introduction to the sweaty, nerdy atmosphere without overwhelming you. Maybe another GW store nearby runs a bus? ???

I have a bed settee in the spare room you and Laura may be very welcome to, just have to clear it with the wife first!

Live in Coventry which is only 20 minutes train journey away. Usually at the NEC for half 8ish, although if you wanted to get their any earlier we could take the bus which takes longer but leaves sooner!

YAY! I had a good idea

I don\'t think I will have a new entry for YB this year, it\'ll most likely be the warrior priest I painted - I think Larre\'s got Gold this year :beer:

Well its all good with the wife Matty so you have a place to crash! The littleman is round his nans house on Saturday so at least you will get one nights uninterrupted sleep!

Just let me know your train times and I can meet you on the Saturday (although I may have to drag you round a friends house or the Pub to watch The mighty Sky Blues crush Ipswich as the game is on sky sports 5.20pm saturday!)

I know some cmoners will be having a get together somewhere in the midlands (probably Birmingham) on the saturday if you fancy that?

Feel free to bring paints/brushes and general painting paraphenalia if you need to work on entries too.

Dave you ROCK! Yea I\'m not fussed what hapens on the Saturday or whatever, but I don\'t get down till later on so Il probably miss the meet up (Iv PM\'d you the times and stuff)

And yea, il bring some aint etc down for last minute stuff (but hopefully there shouldn\'t be any, fingers crossed)

Hitch Hike, that was my Dad\'s suggestion. And he was being deadly serious. His other suggestion was cycle down with a tent.
