Need help (ideas) for Wife\'s birthday

My lovely wife is becoming another year older in a couple of weeks. I need some ideas/suggestions for a memorable day.

This is not one of the BIG milestone birthdays (ends in zero) but it is our first without any kids at home.

I don\'t want the \"out to dinner/movie then home for a drink.\" evening.

I\'m looking for something a bit more non-standard yet not over the top on the budget either..

Help?

Well, i tried to get my wife a nice buxom 2o year old to \"help\" out around the house.
She didn\'t like it to much. Damn, I\'m lousy at picking gifts.

Edit:
But get this, on my wife\'s birthday we had to get a new lawn mower.
I come home with the new lawnmower and she says \"Ooh, is that for me?\"
My wife is weird.

Singing telegram at home.
Balloon-o-gram at work.
Clean up your work station without being yelled at to do it, first. :)
If you can cook, make her a nice dinner with all the romantic fixin\'s. You know...
candlelight and all that.
Give her a backrub that you aren\'t hoping will lead anywhere? ;) Footrub?

That\'s just off the top of my head.

Get her a bouquet of roses and then buy an additional rose that is plastic. Then give her a card saying you will love her until every last rose in the bouquet dies. She will be confused at first but delightfully surprised to see that all but one rose is still alive, that fake one. When she sees how sweet and creative the gesture is prepare for lots of sweet loving.

and you came on here to ask for advice!!!!! lollollol

how about you wash the dishes....my wife says that always turns her on.

or you could walk into the kitchen naked except for only a washcloth on your gibblies, and ask your wife if she has seen the washcloth..... let the fun begin.

or a coupon that says \"free for one quickie\"

these all work with me. ;)

Finish the Kitchen. ;)

Kevin; do you get any driftwood around your favourite fishing holes?
If so grab a piece, clean it up, carve in both your sets of initials and the year, wax and polish it up.
A simple gift might just \"Hit the Button\".

nice work!!

i agree with flowers. maybe buy a massive bouquet and have it delivered at work. then cook her something nice in the evening (can\'t remember if you have kids or not, but make sure they aren\'t around), a bit of marvin gaye (or whatever she likes)....

let the love

Three words: You. Gimp. Suit.

What? Would definitely be a surprise, for all it\'s worth... ;)
Failing that, any of the above sounds nice as well.

@AlienGod, I did that a few weeks ago for Valentine\'s... She\'s still got that silk rose in her car.....

Yesterday was the \"odds & ends\" day. Install pull out racks, finish trim, uplights on top of the cabinets, etc.

Now, to restore the rest of the house that got upended for the kitchen redo...

She\'s now hinting that she wants a BBQ with some friends over to show off her kitchen. Doable. I\'ll throw some dead animal on the grill, she can make the girly drinks in the blender and the rest of us can have beer....

Sounds like a great way to celibrate getting older.

Where\'ve you been? We miss you over here!

@Airhead: If you go with what feels right, it\'ll be just fine.

Hi Guys!

Nice to see so many familiar, friendly faces:D

Haven\'t been around so much because I\'ve had a huge increase in my workload *collective yawn* and I made a conscious decision to concentrate on my music and bass playing for a while. I have my own website now which also takes up a fair amount of my time.

I do check in occasionally to be overawed by the sheer talent here and hopefully, when the workload diminishes..even if that means when I retire..I will get back to the mini collection again..it\'s still waiting...

Cheers all

Steve
