Need help making a mold - anyone able to do this for me?

Hello,

I want to turn this red dragon: http://www.gf9-dnd.com/miniatures/tabid/86/entryid/158/Default.aspx into: http://dragonlancenexus.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/2011-06-08_0018.png
which is a unique 3 headed red dragon in the D&D universe.

the head is in 2 pieces but i've been struggling with molds. maybe i'm rushing it or something but not coming out right.

Was wondering if anyone would be willing to make 2 copies of the head if i were to ship it to them. then i would pay for shipping back and any materials, etc needed?

Or, if someone is in GTA (toronto area), i could maybe drop it off, etc.

Starfyre, look into "smooth on" or "Alumilite" mold making kits. You should be able to do this without too much difficulty.

Well, I'm in the GTA but I can't help you with molds. Hell, I even managed to screw up the simple press mold stuff you heat up in water Idiot proof my idiot ass -_- Good luck, that looks crazy!

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer and asking for additional heads?

Getting decent castings is the bigger problem without a pressure pot. But if you're happy to plug the odd bubble with putty you'll still get something that should work for you.

I use styrene for the mould box and just tape all the sides together with masking tape. Makes it very easy to slice apart and remove later on.

These are single part, but double part just involves lining the base of your box with plasticine as per the video. Once you've done one half, slice off the bottom of the box, remove the plasticine, coat with release and pour silicon in. You can cut a pour channel afterwards or add one before moulding.

i tried 2 part mold but it no work. i used that stuff you boil in water..forgot name, but i have some at home.

i can try ask for more heads ...thats..an interesting idea

Well it won't work if you don't use the right materials.

RTV silicon and polyurethane resin.
