Hi I\'m working on charon from reapers Dark haven set.

My question is how can I get a good light effect from his lanterns?

I am still way new to the art so I don\'t know much about shading. Any help would be awesome.

Good luck, but realize that this is not a simple effect to pull off correctly.

Airhead\'s right, but don\'t let the difficulty deter you, either. You will only get it right if you try and practice.

Good luck :) That piece is still in my reaper wishlist. Would love to paint it someday. Please share your progress, maybe make a WIP thread. There are a lot of people here that are very helpful :)
