need help to improve my NMM skills

Hi all,

This is my second try in NMM but it seems there are several things wrong. First thing is the Gold. Seems my recept is not very good. I used the following Vallejo colors Gold Yellow , Cobra Leather und Dark Fleshtone. Any better recept for the Gold using Vallejo? The second thing is the refelction of the harness armor and the helmet. I read a lot of refection and NMM in the internet but didn\'t find any example for that kind of armor. As well didn\'t find any example mini here on coolminiornot. Any hint would be great.

Welcome to this strange but wonderful place called the CMON forums! lol

The gold looks too yellow! You should try to have Brown Ochre in your recipe and maybe also Yellow Ochre or Medium Flesh. I use these colours a lot when doing gold. Hope this helps.

Oh, and apart from the yellow gold, that\'s a great looking mini you\'ve got there!

I think anders has it right on, way too yellow! In my nmm gold I actually end up using very little yellow, it goes from a brown/brownish-yellow to white with just a hint of yellow in between.

I think the painting nmm gold too yellow is a place everyone has been, I know I\'ve been there!

Good job on your mini though! keep it up

have to add too, too yellowish for a gold! Try snakebite leather, bubonic brown adn bleached bone from citadel, they work out pretty well

Hi,great figure,especially the shield!Hopefully by now you\'ll have seen a few examples of NMM,SENMM,and any other kind of MM on coolminiornot,as I find the examples here are among the finest there is!What I do when I\'m looking for it is go to \'top artists\' on the right on the main screen and generally a few just leap out at me,if not then I get lost in peoples galleries until I find it or are inspired by something else.I never fail to find something here to inspire me,ever!!lolGood luck,keep posting that ork is great and I\'d like to see the rest!(Don one-Solo mafia)
