All models will be sculpted? Are you planning on making a whole self sculpted army or do you plan on conversions? Ton of work but should be nice.

Looks like you have quite a lot of the army covered. The characters atleast. I have no idea what you need more for an army to complete it as i\'m no wargamer at all and have no clue what so ever how it works and what makes an army.
But I do love the Diskworld novels.

I would definatly vote for a bunch of Mac Nac Feegles (they are brilliant)... maybe instead of gnoblar like beings like in the GW ogre army?

I would like to see the other witches too.. Margrat with her mixed up hair and Nanny Ogg ofcourse.

The wizard guy with the frog pills would be nice too... The Bursar.

Lord Havelock Vetinari maybe... the guy that runs Ankh-Morpock.

Dibbler would be fun to add too. Have him operate a rocklobber tossing junk-no-body-wants-at-cut-me-own-throat-prices to the enemy

Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson would have been fun too. The one who thinks he\'s a dwarf but is actually a human, a large one.

Maybe Angua the female werewolf... She is dating Carrot mentioned above so they would make a good team.

yeah possibly however I have used all my charachter slots so no more witches carrot an Angua will be in the pikeman unit however this rockthrower thing of wicgh you speak sounds interesting. thanks.

BTW i dont think that gnoblars would be powerfull enought to represent th feegles I was thinkng about ogres to represent them.

You have committed a capital offence by not including Magrat. Fix this problem or face punishment! :flame::evil: ;)

Don\'t know anything about DoW so can\'t help much, but I would suggest that the luggage is much more powerful than a simple warhorse. Could you substitute it for a Griffon or other big but flightless monster? It\'s as hard to control too.

Trouble is the books are very character driven but an army is unit driven. Adding a siege engine would help, and Dibbler is a good suggestion.

Well dibbles is the street ventor, selling all kinds of crap and keep telling everyone that \"he is cutting his own throath\" with such low prices... But the warmachine I made up... nothing like it in the book.

Well, I suppose you could give the NMFs the stats of ogres but for the figures do them in 6mm minis - still too big, but gets the idea across.

The other thing you could do rather than the ogres for the trolls is to use bronzigers galloping guns, or Ogre Kingdoms guys carrying the cannons. Which would be quite a good match for Detritus with the Siege crossbow.

Instead of putting Angua and Carrot with the pikeman, you could use a full size human model as the leader of the dwarfs as carrot, and a direwolf model as the leader of one of the fast cavalry groups for angua.

Also, I understand wanting to use granny weatherwax, but if you want to have a female wizard, you really should use Eskarina smith from equal rites.

You could also stick in a chariot rather than one of the horseman and use it as Ronnie Soak\'s milk cart. Aka Chaos.

Rather than have the dwarfes as modo\'s gardeners, you could have them as the printing press dwarves.

instead of crossbows, you could make one of the units the fools guild and model them as throwing pies at the enemy, or something equally foolish.

For chrysophase, the unit must be called the Breccia, and you will need to model/paint him up wearing a badly fitted suit.

The only way I can see to include the nac mac feegle would be to use the stats of something else, like a chariot, but model the chariot is a cow being carried by nac mac feegle.

pm me if you want to chat. I may be able to come up with more ideas, although I won\'t be able to help with the modelling

Well, there is a problem that you will face with the whole chariot thing: There are no chariots in DoW armies. If you\'re going to do the printing press dwarves, use Long Drong\'s Slayer pirates to represent them. Strategically it will add a whole lot to the army, as the unit itself is unbreakable and they have thousands of pistols on them. It may break the mold a little bit, but what\'s the use of having a themed army if it sucks?

I plan to make at least one unit of everything i.e Assasins guild, Fools guild, Printing press dwarfes it will all come. meanwhile can anyone quote me the description of \"Dibbler\" I was thinking I could use him with a halfling hot pot.

Dibbler, Cut-Me-Own-Throat. Wheresoever two or three are gathered together, someone else will turn up and try to sell them something hot in a bun. This person will probably be C.M.O.T Dibbler.

Dibbler is the purveyor of absolutely anything that can be sold hurriedly from an open suitcase in a busy street. He likes to describe himself as a merchant adventurer; every- one else likes to describe him as an itinerant pedlar whose money-making schemes are always let down by some small but vital flaw, such as trying to sell things he doesn\'t own or that don\'t work or, sometimes, don\'t even exist. Quite often they describe him as someone they would like to catch up with.

He is not, strictly speaking, a criminal.

In his natural state - i.e., when not inspired to take advantage of some passing fad or problem in Ankh-Morpork - Dibbler sells meat pies and sausages-in-a-bun from a tray around his neck or, when funds permit, a barrow. There is no need to describe these items, even as food. Dibbler takes the view that anything that has at any time been any part of a pig, or even near a pig, or possibly even within earshot of a pig, can be called pork. His guiding principle is that with enough mustard people will cat anything (his brief foray into ethnic food for trolls, a silicareous species, proved that Dibbler was even capable of finding stale rock).

Cmot.jpg

He is skinny, and when regarding him people are moved to recall that humans have some kind of small rodent somewhere in their ancestry. He speaks very quickly, with many a sidelong glance, and usually wears a huge overcoat, full of pockets, none of which have exact change. He is known to have premises in a cellar near the SHADES in Ankh-Morpork. No one knows where he actually lives. Since going to sleep might involve missing a wonderful business opportunity he possibly never does so.

Dibbler is also the seller of mail-order lessons on the Path of the Scorpion, a self-defence system, under the name of Grand Master Lobsang Dibbler. He also served short stints as moving pictures mogul and music industry promoter, two occupations that came as near to suiting his peculiar talents as any he has ever tried.

He feels that it is not his fault that perfectly sound business propositions have a habit of exploding or tasting awful.

There used to be a miniature line with the Discworld characters. But i\'m guessing it\'s OOP and not (easy) to get anymore, if at all: http://www.area51b.freeserve.co.uk/paint/figure.htm (well you can find them on e-bay but usually for more then i think they are worth)

Oh sheesh! How could we have left out the Librarian?

You could do a unit of the staff of the Unseen University. I don\'t know what stats you\'d give them, but it would be neat to see them as a group. You could even have the guy in the coffin.

Oh, and I love the idea of representing the NMF with a cow on its side slightly raised from the base.
