Face needs more contrast, and the shirt needs more contrast as well. Glazing colors into the shadows and a little bit ontop of parts of the skin would help give a more realistic look. Dark blue on the shirt like a coal black from p3 would be good, and for red a sanguine base from p3 would be good. especially places like the ear needs more color and contrast. you get the shading by adding more color to shadows (darker color) and then keep on highlighting so one area has a little white. perfect start tho.

You're gonna have to give him brown/red colours in the shades but not too dark, and bright flesh colours as highlights (like Elf Flesh for example) and push your lights up to white. I guess you'll paint the clothes in a green colour so you could do some glazes of that colour on the face. You also have to take in count the light as it is very important when you paint a bust, for example the top of his forehead that is under his helmet has to be darker than the rest of his face. Good luck with that bust.

The pupils appear too small to me, you have of course only done the flesh? , an improvement (in my eyes) would be stubble or whiter skin where the hair has been cut, hair works as an excellent sunblock, so if his hair has just been cut it would be almost white. Also his skin is too perfect...how about a freckle or mole?

the face definitely need more skinvariation to look natural. glaces of different brown, greys and other colours (even purple and green) will help to make him more alive.
