i know the color scheme is a bit....over the top. my goal was to practice a few things - black skin color, face painting, sheer effects (the stockings), inking hair (meh...), whites and some other stuff (new colors). basically a buffet of techniques with very little consideration for overall composition.

i would really appreciate some feedback on those TECHNIQUES - esp sheer effects, skin and the face (e.g. how do you paint lips like alexi z?).
if you want to vote on her...
please do

The skin tone is good. The sheer effect is pretty good to. I think you have got the idea just need more practice. The purple looks like it needs more coats as its not very smooth. Voted

ok, well, not too much feedback - but ogre was helpful. if there is nothing technically incorrect with the execution of my techniques, then why does it have a score of 5.6? that tells me that its tt, and that my advanced techniques were poorly executed. i realize that the colors may turn people off - but theoretically that shouldnt drop me below a 6. is this an instance of people not using the guide, or what?

You\'ll need to practice blending more. Some parts, mainly the lighter ones, look ok, but the darker areas are a bit blotchy. That will definitely affect your scores. Blending is something that needs a lot of practice to master. You can read a lot of useful tips and instructions, but there\'s no escaping the practice bit. That is the main problem here, IMO. You seem to have the rest under control. :)

Oh, and I don\'t think there\'s anything wrong with the colour scheme. I like it!!

I\'m glad you\'re not worried about the colour compisition- cause if you were.. OUCH lol the paintjob isn\'t terrible though.

Colour scheme seems perfectly fine to me.
The main problem with it is as ogrebane mentions. The blending needs to be smoother and I think the paint is probably going on to thick. But its always hard to tell from a photo.

Good job
