Hey all,

I\'ve been working on these guys the last couple days and thought I would share in hopes of getting some tips on skintones. I usually avoid models with much more skin showing than hands and face, so these were a bit of a challenge for me...

Here\'s the first model:

And here\'s the second (a 54 mm version of the same one above):

Any thoughts on the skin tones? The base is a mix of Reaper Master Series Antique Rose, Rosy Skin and Tanned Shadow and I adjusted it as needed to go down or up...

So any thoughts on the skin? Or the rest? The 28 mm version is almost completely finished, except I think I need to do something else to the hair. The 54mm is still very much a work in progress, and I still have the hair and face to finish as well as doing some touch ups on the dragons as well as the base of course.

The legs from the knees down on the 54mm look to be a different color (my eyes or monitor may be a fault). But they seem to look like they have more brown in the mix then other parts that would be lighted the same way.
Also (again, eyes and monitor) the paint is looking a little chunky in parts, the thighs and buttocks.
The only thing that I can constructively add though is maybe a little purple may add to the mini? Say in the shadows and around the major arteries and what nots?
Just MTCs. And heck! What do I know?

I paint my thumb.
My thats a lot of skin.
Like Mud Duck said, maybe a bit of subtle color glazing could give it life. Otherwise the skintone seems pretty natural, a little more highlight could help too.

Maybe some blue glazing will take away some of the red in the pink. It looks a bit (the second one mostly) cartoon skin pink to me. But the photos seem to have a lot of red in the anyway, so it\'s hard to tell for sure.
Very brave of you - I\'m still avoiding skin.
