Need help with teplars.

Well I have some templars that need painting and am unsure how to get the disired effect.

This is a mini that is painted how I want my templars. Glossy black armour, with the classic color scheme.

any tips on how to paint them like this will be appricated, what I need to know is how to paint the faces, tabbards chest eagles, gold sections and the rusted metal look.

For rusted metal go for brown and black ink washes.

For the black shiny armour - it depends on what sort of effect you\'re after...

Black CAN be a difficult colour :/

You could go simple and just add gloss varnish over a clean, black paint job

Or you could gradually build higlights with a variety of colours (Usually greys or blues)

You could even go the route of fake black SENMM (I saw an excellent exmaple of this recently on a chaplain, but can\'t remember the link) : He had used normal colours (Black, greys and whites) in a mixture of gradual fades and stark contrasts in order to make the armour APPEAR shiny without actually having it glossy.

I like to use blues and greys in black it adds good definition. It\'s goooood, it\'s all gooood.

cool guys, but I don\'t reall need to know how to paint the armour. Just the stated, but I want a very similar result to this, if not exact.
