Need Opinions

Never painted a mini this large , only been painting 6 months or so.. Please comment on how i can make this mini look better or what did i basically screw up on. Thanks

It looks good. i would go lighter with the back plates and do some icor out his mouth (made from white glue)

His armor and mouth look good basically but could use a little more definition.

Give the mouth an inkl wash with a blend 50%red ink/50%chestnut (or brown) ink, should give some more contrast.

As for the armor, what OgreBane said. More highlighting on the plate edges.

Gray needs to be darker and work on the high lights, and the same for the orange, you need to do more layering. (lol Calling the kettel black) and thinner paints!

The eyes need to have more contrast. Bugs generally have black or irridesent eyes.

Agreed with all previous, more contrast between shadow and highlight.

Greetings daywalker; I think the main area needing more contrast is the grey body. It looks like you\'ve done some highlighting, but it really needs to be darker in the cracks/recesses - maybe a dark wash? You could use black, or a more interesting colour; but make sure it is quite dark, significantly darker than the darkest grey you have used on the body. This is a fast but effective way to improve the overall look of the miniature a lot...the ornage/brown armour plates are looking ok.
