Need painting thoughts for Chaos Tank company

Need advice on Chaos armored company

Hey guys.

been working on a chaos traitor armored company, but realy cant make up my mind on the paint job for the \"standard\" tanks, there will be a few dedicated to the gods, but the rest i think i want to do chaos undivided.

not realy happy with it TBH, not chaosy enough and kinda dull.

so, i\'m after some thoughts on colour sceme, do i go for camo? ( my thought is no ), do i go for a light colour so weathering stands out more?, maybe a 2/3 tone non camo sceme.

i have a few ideas, but this has been bugging me for ages, and realy wanna get some frest thoughts

if u have any good pics to link that would be great.

Hi there! May I say that tank is very nice indeed! My only critique is that you can add some more chaosy stuff to it and it wouldnt look cluttered. I imagine some heretics would find something to do with that massive cannon at least.

Apart from that the model looks ace and the paint job is superb. Perhaps a bit more grime on it as I imagine chaos wouldnt care about keeping their tanks all that clean.

As for a full armored company.. cant wait to see it!

Tank looks great but not too chaosy (is that a word?)

I\'d pick some colors that clash - Lime green and purple comes to my mind

heh, there always has to be a clever clogs lol

lime green and purple kinda sounds a bit slanesh. going to have 1 leman russ for each god, and the main of the force undivided.

also not sure what i like the idea of best, all sorts of colours for the tanks to show they have been corrupted over time from many armies, or a unifed theme to show the whole army turned a long time ago.

i like both ideas but the variety sounds like more fun. maybe have a few different types with badly painted camo/paintschemes over the top so you can still see the original underneath. i would have thought they would be badly cared for too with crappy spot repairs and random armour. badly painted chaos sybols and writings sounds cool too. also a few spikes and trophies. look at the reavers from serenity/firefly and you will see what i mean

Well you could always take the most obnoxious colors in your paints and apply them to the tanks - kinda the street tagger approach.

i can finally see it! yay. i would say, add some more weathering - more pain chips and armour damage. more graffitti on it as well

thx for the comments so far guys.

just added more paint chips and properly defined the bullet holes ( that u could hardly see before ) and im already happier with it.

weathering is a bit harder as its already a bit dark ( the pic has made it a little lighter ) i\'m thinking the mud on the tracks is too similar to the main coulor, so will have a go at that as well as make it a bit more chaosy.
