Need some advice

Hi all
Just wanted to ask a few questions...
in golden demon this year i will be entering the empire captain in the youngbloods category

I am not as experienced with nmm but i think if i would be able to pull it off it would look good. Also, is zenithal lighting better than lighting from the side for example in golden demon?

i too am entering yb this year, and i have to say in my view zenithal would work better, as cabinets at gd are lit by lighting in the top of them.nmm or metalics, i do not know, metals are easy to do intermediatly, but very hard to master. as for nmm, i cant do it but if you reckon you could get it right id go for it

To me it\'s not really a thrilling miniature, but the question is are YOU impressed with it enough to go the whole hog?

Looking at the studio paintjob doesn\'t give any indication as to whether mettalics or NMM would be most suitable, SO again the choice is down to you.
What I would suggest is that you make it an eye catching colour scheme, without it being Garish.

Doing new miniatures is always a nice way to capture an audience. Showing that you can paint a new miniature in the short period it arrives before a competition always gives you a bit of an advantage. Even more if you can make a nice conversion.

NMM would be a nice choice as it will make the mini definitely look real flashy which is a good thing. However metallics can look real nice as well. It really depends on the atmosphere you want to create.

Personally I do not like this particular mini but that does not mean you cannot wow the judges with it Good luck!
