ya that looks nice, once you get some more texture in their the numbers should pop out a little more from the block...Uberdarks graffiti idea would be a cool touch too on the back block perhaps...or maybe some graffiti (not too large and overwhelming) on the front block coming from the lower portion also.

I reiterate, your blending on the skin is something to be admired. i cant wait to see the done.

Any ideas for the base yet?

On the base I was going to make it look like he was punching through a brick wall with brick rubble in front of him and the sides of the brick wall coming up on both sides of him. Sort of like a, "heeeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny!" moment.

Also I am having trouble deciding what the texture on the front block should look like. Any thoughts?

Haha, love the toon.
This thing is shaping up awesomely. The armour i'd see as a dull steel, keeping with the whole industrial/suburban feel of it. Maybe with the cords holding the plates together being copper or a brassy colour.
Orrr, maybe paint it like it's a string of cobbled together armour from different things, paint it a chipped and dented drab green with insignia from the original armour pieces?

Been a while since I have updated this mini. Progress is very slow. I have been playing around with pigments and started painting some of the armor and wanted to see what you guys think. Any critics or suggestions are appreciated. :) Also these pics are a bit more accurate with the colors than the previous pics.

Some spiffy looking armor you've got going there. I love the weathering on the blocks he's holding. Though I can see a mold line in the bottom pic on the block he's holding in his right hand. (Just to give you a hard time!) ;) Great skin too.

I love the skintone color blend, very smooth... The green belts is standing out quite well and the concrete sections looks perfect. My only suggestion would be to work on the orange rust on the top of the concrete shield glove thing.

Great suggestion! Luckily the orange parts are pigments so I can play around with them until I get a look I like without having to repaint everything. I will post some more pics soon. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

@matt: You're killing me here lol. I will try to fix that :)

Progress is still slow. This WIP is pretty much turning into a step by step. Not much has been done, I got an airbrush for christmas so I have been testing it out on some hordes warbeasts. It makes painting the highlights and shadows on larger models very smooth and easy. Anyways here is what I have so far. I painted some scratches on the armor plates and I finished the knee guard. I am trying to make the armor look like old nmm bronze so hopefully it is working. Only problem is that bronze has more of a blue green oxidation but I like the way the orange works so I switched to that.
