Need tips for painting Tree Kin from Wood elves

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is doing good today! I am looking for help to paint the Tree Kin for the Wood elf army. I really love the ones in the book and I am looking for a similar color scheme.

Any good painters out there have suggestion on how to do them? I don\'t mind dry brushing but I am looking for the best technique so they look the best possible, I dont mind doing 3-4-5 coats if that is what it takes!

There are quite a few articles on CMON on how to do layering etc. Depends on what level your are painting at the moment. Normally I would paint base coat. Do a wash of the shaded colour (two shades darker) Then paint and even darker color in the deep recesses. The rebase coat and do at least 3 to 4 highlights. Hope it helps not sure of the GW olor scheme as I dont have the book yet. Good luck.

Hey, Im not looking so much for how to do it but mostly the colors you use. I have experience painting I just want a color scheme that will look very good.

Gives suggestions on the range of colours and the effects of Placing moss on the northfacing side.

That article sounds really interesting, sadly I dont have access to any UK white dwarf since i live in the middle of no where in Canada.

I do check those regularly and I went all around to find the best one. So far what I find that worked good is Scorched Brown then Graveyard Earth and then Khomando Khaki. It looks ok but GE and KK are hard colors to work with on trees since they usuaully need more then 1 coat so Im still looking for other tips.
