I painted this up for Wyrd game\'s forum\'s Iron Painter competition nr 3 for the first round. The theme was \"Flesh of a different colour\". She got me to round 2. I took to Pratchets Nac Mac Feegles for inspiration. She was a lot of fun to paint. I really did my best with the base as well and tried to get a sence of moving water. i think I succeeded.

Very nice. The water looks great, and the skin tones are also good with soft transitions. Can\'t really find anything to nitpick.

Nice one! The base is fantastic, and the whatshername is very smooth and nice to look at :) I really like the ferns (brass-etched?) no the base, too - could you tell me where you got them please?

The water was done with vallejo still water. Which shrinks a lot though so several layers were needed. on top of that i worked with the more hand cream like water effect paste from valejo. Less happy with that one. You go very easily to thick (talking half mm\'s here) so it doesn\'t turn clear anymore. So again many tiny layers build up. And finally white semi-transparant paint for the stream effect.

The base is made with cork and greenstuff and sand. The ferns and plant are brass etched plans i bought from the Hasslefree shop.

This would have to be your best work. Whilst the mini is excellent the thing that drew my attention was the base. Very well done and the water just makes this mini. Well done did the vote thing.
