Haven\'t seen any barbarians from one of my favorite barbarian sculptors - Marek- for awhile, but he has a new one out with Assassin (www.assassin.de or www.fozzbozz.com).

The poor bugger has got his bones on the outside of his chest :wow:

Nice character present there. Crazy muscles.

Ello Cyril! The ones you posted were listed on another Barabarian thread yesterday. Nice looking pieces to say the least.

arms and legs are truly horrendous, plus the face seems demi-retarded.. and the pose is REALLY static....

loving the ilyad ones :p

Comparing this to Ilyad is pointless. This piece is intended to be a cartoon, the Ilyad stuff is obviously more serious.

This is, however, a good example of anatomy being important even when doing really stylised stuff.

I agree it`s not the best Marek`s sculpt. Still it wasn`t intended to be sold at first! It has been sculpted loooong time ago while Marek was still testing his skills. Later on, Thomas Palm told he is interested in releasing it and that`s how it hit the shelves under \"Assassin\" banner :D .

@Primeval: Yes , it might seem that Marek completly disapeared from the sculptors scene. That`s due to the fact he had enormous problems with getting payment from some of the companies he worked for. It`s not fun working hard, seeing your models casted and sold, and then not receiving cash for the things you`ve done.
He`s still making models for himself just because he enjoys it. Here`s WIP he showed me around Christmas:

Thanks for the info! I really liked the barbarian he did for Assassin that was holding the severed heads, I even bought 2 so I could paint one for a commission and still have one of my own. And I was looking forward to the one he did for Sacred Blade that never came out. Pass along my best wishes to him, and I hope to see that WIP finished!

Barbar..

Oh my - I really love the Illyad games barb, the WIP progress one. He is awesome and will be on my shelf as soon as he\'s available :)

As for the one at the top of this thread - unfortunately he does nothing for me!
