Ok guys, new one by me! And he\'s a Barbarian... And I have done blood splats... so Primeval, I am expecting some constructive criticism from you as you are \'the man\' when it comes to our cold, loincloth wearing, axe weilding maniacs! well... here he is...

Yup, I have gone for NMM, which is not my usual tipple, but I wanted to challenge myself. I dont think I have got the gold recipe quite right, but I am getting there... ;) Any pointers would be most appreciated.

More pics and voting for him here - http://www.coolminiornot.com/80003

Thanks!

Great work Peter! The skintones are very good, and the blood splatter actually looks like blood!

As for the gold; it looks good, but it would shine more if your shadows were darker. Scorched brown works very well for this.

Good work Peter! The axe is wonderful and the blood looks very life-like indeed! The stubble on his square jaw looks incredible. I think your gold looks quite good. Maybe you could add some redish brown wash where the shadows are the deepest, like around the rivets. That\'s the only thing I would consider changing. I like the dull, beaten look of it and I think it suits the barbarian well.

Cheers, Anders

Brushlicker and Freak!
The NMM gold looks better from all the other angles.
The face is perfect.

Great stuff!

big boris rules!

Great job on the big guy.

This latest incarnation of Boris does have a ton of character in his face. I really love the shaved head/5 o clock shadow you have given him.

How did you do the flagstone base?

Wooh!

Nice work Peter! I love the face... especially the stubble. I almost congratulated you on your metallics until I realised it was NMM :duh: :)

very nice work, what others have pointed about the gold nmm is right on, so I won\'t repeat them. the only other place that looks...less perfected is the fur on his boots. It just doesn\'t strike me as done to the same level as the rest of the mini. I am really impressed by the face, and the blood splattering is a great touch!
