I can't believe no one has posted a link to the kickstart project going on over at massive voodoo right now. Roman Lappat and Raffaele Picca are publishing a book showing a bunch of their art work and have already reached past there goal and up to $20 k so some add ons have already been kicking in. Any way check out the link if you like it support it. Let's face it it's a great christmas present to yourself. I'm in.

Someone did on 23 October, in the News Items.
Which is why I'm in and with the number of supporters the book will be in A4 Size.

Yeah, I did but those older posts tend to get lost. With just over a week left in the project it's nice to remind anyone who hasn't made a pledge and spread the word to those who haven't heard about it yet. The project is on pace to hit their $25k stretch goal in the next few days (where the book goes from 100 to 120 pages). For just $20 you get the basic art book and for $35 you'll get both the basic art book and an extra book full of tutorials and SBS plus a few extra goodies. Both prices include international shipping and the books should ship in December. If you ask me, the $35 option is definitely the way to go. Of course if you have extra spending money there are even more perks to be had. Most of the extras are exclusive to this indiegogo campaign so this will be your only chance to get your hands on them.

I'm in too. The Massive Voodoo site is excellent, Roman especially is an amazing talent. I'm hoping they hit their final stretch goal so we get an additional 20 pages.

Done my part. I believe there aren't enough books in print about this subject (miniature sculpting and painting) so it's great to see something like this. I know there's always CMoN and a bunch of other sites but I still like to see my physical library filling up with well produced books (like the CMoN book) that I can show people without having to turn on a computer.

A...a book?
Oh, I see, it's like someone printed out a very small part of the Internet, and bound the pages together.
It won't catch on...

books still have their place in my heart, when's the last time you were told to switch off a book when a plane is landing? plus only recently i was reading Rynn's world, i placed it in my backpack which was then run over by a 25 tonne crane (which i wasn't wearing at the time) whilst some other items were crushed to ruin, the book made it out alright and i was still able to finish reading of the daring adventures of Pedro Kantor! i don't see an amazon Kindle or iPad faring anywhere near as well.

That's the most convoluted set of circumstances ever just to justify a book over an eBook.
Actually, I was paraphrasing a local example where someone used that to try and dissuade the yellow/white pages from publishing and distributing to EVERY HOUSEHOLD the full 2-volume directory.
Insane...
