looks ok to me. the important thing is the quality of the minis though. somethimes a card like the rackham ones with the pic of a well painted copy is good, so you can see what can be done with the mini, acts as inspiration

Good point. I had thought of that but it would require me to order more different kinds of inserts from the printers :( I think eventually that will have to be the case.
As for the minis i have a couple of wips i can share with ya ;)

Great looking sculpts!

About the packaging text, I\'d drop the \"(bright gem)\" part. It\'s clear that you wanted to address a wink to your public, but I think it\'s funner if they find out by themselves (or at least the most curious amongst them ;)) the irony of the situation in your univers.

mini\'s look good, and the packaging is nice and professional looking too. Good luck, I think I\'ll order some when they go up. But not before December, as I\'ve put the clamps on mini spending until then.

Very cool to see this come to fruition for you!

I read through the text, it\'s a little long, and I think it may need some further proofing and maybe a little editing. It should really pack a punch and it doesn\'t quite at the moment.

The front should stand out pretty well on a display rack - the second line of text could stand out more though. I get it\'s the photo quality that\'s compressing a little, and it\'s a long line of text, so hard to fit in at a large size.

Could up the yellow on the chevrons to make it all a bit less dark, possibly.

I\'d also up the highlight on the Brutal text if that\'s do-able.

You could always include a pic of the painted model inside the blister maybe.

Yeah, tighten up the text a lot, then move to a bigger font. As an example:

Miniatures for gladiatorial combat set in a post apocalyptic world

becomes

Post Apocalyptic Gladiatorial Combat

Is there an external website for the stuff? I can\'t see them on here as in work, and I\'d like to see more of it. Can\'t see any images on this page :(

Old short sighted gits like me will find all the small print of the game description really difficult to read.
You might want to crop it down to a briefer description.

@ PegaZus. Cheers! ;)

Okay i have made some changes based on what you guys are telling me. I\'ve made the following changes to the front

Lightened the yellow, added a white \'stroke\' to the brutal logo to help make it stand out more. i really didn\'t want to lighten the actual text as i wanna keep it dirty looking. I also shortend the text a little.

Changes to the back side are: deleted a lot of the text and edited what was left. Changed location of our DAM mascot and added a blood splattered watermark based on the current design of the book. edited* which as it turns out you can\'t see that well due to me saving for web. I have redone it but the background is still a little yucky :(

The things that I see are

One the rack hole is going to go right in the middle of BRUTAL on the front and though Dark Arts Minnis in the back.

Flop the two characters on the front. The side with the guy in armor is visually heavier then the other, do to the detail of the drawing and the logo in the lower corner.

Not sure if I like the female character. The proportions look \"Off\". Oh and what\'s the AC of a leather bikini? Better or worst then a chainmail one?!? ???lollol (Sorry bad joke)

Move the hazard warning below the info on the game and increase the \"ABOUT BRUTAL\" title a couple more font sizes.

Really liking the minis, how soon before release?

Just my two coppers

Just a quick reply as I\'m making my tea :)

The card insert fits within a folded clamshell so the euroslot hook hole won\'t affect it

i\'ll give the ditch the characters a thought but i really do like the current concept...anyone else that would like to see the figures dropped?

release: well the grand plan is to have them ready for Game 09 Manchester on 17th october....but don\'t quote me :)

Cheers Mud duck ;)

Minis look great! Like the first one especially.

On the new text:
small-scale models;
up-close-and-personal gladiatorial combat system;
post-apocalyptic;
single spaces after the full point and after the in \"the same path\";
lion\'s share;
website, no hyphen.

The Brutal title stands out so much more now, but the strap line text is still a bit small.

Like the blood splatter on the back - the red is a nice bit of interest - but where the word Brutal is in white on it, it\'s making the text on top harder to read.

Clarity is all important. Don\'t be afraid to go for the less is more approach. I totally agree the blurb (inc weblink) should be above the warnings, and the re-write is a big improvement.

Morning all. First and foremost, a HUGE thanks for the feedback and constructive comments you guys have made. Give me a couple of hours to redo the packaging and we can take it from there ;)
