Hello all, New to Coolmini Hope i am posting this in the right place... the right way

Anyway.. took some old computer stuff, mainly a Razer Lachesis mouse for a body to build up from

... a tub of bitz.. mostly ork.. some guard and space marine.... and just kept at it for 4 days


The Start! A razer PC mouse (lachesis) some blue thing i found in my bin... and a couple of bits leftover from a dakkajet/bomba kit make for the start!

Its just waiting on a 160mm base now .... Just gotta paint up the "Scrapyard" one i got for this guy


next scrap build i do will have a lot more iterations and have a work-log to go along with it in the WIP section as i build

I love the arms, legs and mouth! The shade of blue doesn't look terribly "orky" though. Maybe it just needs some wash.

Its a Deathskulls army so blue is dah luckiest ... when i use any wash on the flat vehicle panels (From nuln oil all the way to druchi violet... ive used tons trying it) it never comes out quite right

here is a photo of some more stuff en masse ... the blue looks better when you see it in an entire army i think, also i use Agrax earthshade on my orks skin... as well as on anything metal... i generally try and use typhus corrosion like a wash when dealing with metals (since its orks...)

I like to get the wash almost directly into the recess im looking to paint

Battlewagon with custom Rolla ... after seeing it on the table a few times... i really feel an ich to do the rivets

The different colored bases are to keep a quick log of when i painted them, and what other models had been painted with them... for personal improvement


I will go back to the naut a few times though.... as i said in anothe rreply... i am not a fan of how clean painted the wires are after seeing it a few times.....and the scratches in the paint arent enough to dull down the intensity of the blue

Looking back on it.. i think i should of cut into the wiring a bit before painting it... like shave some chunks out of the insulation layer kinda how one of the GW Loota deffguns wiring is
