What a load of rubbish! Nobody is obliged to put any of their techniques into the public domain and there are a LOT of the top painters on this site who contribute nothing more than pics of their wonderfully painted figs without getting grief! It\'s not as if there aren\'t articles out there, it\'s just that people are often too bloody bone idle to even Google what they want to know about.

I used to get plenty of emails asking me how to cast in resin. It aint hard - I found out everything I needed to know through Google and an evening with a pen and paper. I just find that sort of laziness (and cheekiness - I\'m sure GW wouldn\'t go into intimate details of their manufacturing processes...) really irritating. So I ignore them now. They can do some bloody donkey work like the rest of us :)

Oh, and I\'d be very surprised if GW didn\'t snap up Mr Scibor at some point....

Ditto to everything people are saying Scribor. Their are plenty of people here who think your stuff is great. Just look at the scores your conversions get. Sure there are those who give you a hard time. Try to filter out honest criticism
from those who have sad lives and bitch a lot.
I at least haven\'t seen anyone on these forums claim your artwork was fake

I for one would like to see conversion moulds but do think it is possible to run into problems. Forgeworld can do it because they have an agreement with GW. I know there would be a cost involved but have you thought of simply sitting down with a patent and copyright lawyer and asking them?

Hi :)
I think that for me is better start from my own figures and maybe latter I will think about non dangr conversion sets :)

Bleezebrush --> about my markers . TOMBOW are very good :) But I have some problems to get it in Poland all colours.
I bought today new markers from Faber Castell I hope they will be as good as TOMBOW :)

Forgeworld Is owned by Games workshop, so they have no issues with making conversion kits for GW products.

i don\'t think that it\'s illegal to create some conversion kits for GW products...

everyone could build some snow chains for any wheel there is... o_O and you could say that they fit with the blabla wheels from xy...and its not illegal...

theres just one point...you can\'t create conversion kits that are based on GW\'s artwork etc... but if you are making your own conzepts futhermore... there will be no problems in my opinion...

...and if GW would have some problems with scibor work...they wouldn\'t show his work in german WD ;)

of course it\'s not illegal to create conversions of GW stuff - the point people have made is the casting of heads directly from GW ones and then SELLING them for personal gain may be illegal. No one would have a problem if he had used plastic heads, with his converted figures.

I haven\'t seen the German White Dwarf article, but I doubt they were aware of the selling of these pieces for personal gain. Does the article contain these works we\'re seeing now?

@Scibor

I love you mini\'s, and think your Concept art is incredible cool and artistic, And in some cases kicks GW ass!!

Regarding the mass prodution of conversion kits. I love the idea, and would be the first in line to buy them, but I don\'t tink that you own converted mini\'s would go for an equal high price as now. And in my eyes you own conversions wouldn\'t be as artistic and personal any more.

Regarding some of the mini\'s, I\'ve seen that you haven\'t removed all the moldlines from the plastic GW parts. And when you pay like $150, there shouldn\'t be any mold lines!!!!!!

By the way, I dig your Dante mini and Custodes Constantine Valdor mini.

I have 2 questions, how do you find the time to make them so fast, and do you do commision/freelance work???

Keep up the good work, and don\'t care that much about the copyright and legal stuff. If GW makes trouble, they\'ll have a lot of angry painters and gamer that won\'t support them any more!

Im going to make it simple here.

Selling figures with pressed copies of GW heads is illegal.

Selling figures that have been converted based on GW copywrited artwork is illegal.

Remember Sophia at Ultraforge and the nurgle sculpt anyone.
