Off to a great start on these. I got that the drybrushed bits were stone effect and think it works just fine.

Love the armour on the terminators what colours did you use?
will post more pics monday, but here are the wip bases:

They\'re to go with cities of death urban stylee.
for the \'deathwing beige\' (what a stupid colour to go to war in, honestly...) I kind of made it up as I went along, and i\'m only halfway..
1) undercoat white
2) liberal wash graveyard earth (watery)
3) wash graveyard earth in more specific areas (crevices etc)
4) over coat armour bleached bone
this is where i\'m at NOW
5) will be 50/50 mix bleached bone and the new p3 morrow white
6) steadily getting lighter till i\'m happy with it!

I want to copy that one with the grill and put a genestealer claw down inside - or maybe a face looking up....

yeh I did, it was a piece of cake!
I used
1) old city of death bits from bitz box
2) mesh
Cut the bottom from a few 40mm bases and glued mesh over. Stuck cities of death bitz over the top.
Looketh sweet no?!
And i\'m well into the \'checked sanctuary floors\' at the moment (also available frmo most kitchen stores..)

okay, so what is cities of death?
I like the banner and I think the stone effect works OK, but perhaps some different coloured washes would help to make it look more realistic and aged.
I do think that there\'s a bit too much stone on the banner. I\'d be tempted to paint the shield and lower tassel bits as a real shield and fabric.
Finally, I don\'t think the hammer it is holding is terribly 40k looking (and yeah, I know there are Thunder Hammers). Cutting the top off and replacing it with a brazier, then doing a bit of osl from it down onto the stone would look very sweet and nice and gothic in style with the Dark Angels.
You seem to be doing fine with the bone armour so far too. Are you going to scratch it up with some freehand painted pitting? It\'s a technique that would work well with the bone coloured armour I think

I agree with Lono (Iono?) That the stone sash round the banner top looks strange - especially as you\'ve done PART of it fabric already

Cool idea for the bases. I have alot of those left over from my Imperial city box. I used some bits for bases but never thought to use the floor panels. Thanks for the cool idea that I will definitely steal.
