tell them tom!

That\'s weak sauce right there. If you land a gig with \'Eavy Metal I have a small sneaking suspicion that your work just MIGHT be getting viewed by the general public in a non-anonymous way soon.

Why I am so curious is....

-I\'d like to see the level of skill it takes to land a gig at EM
-I\'d really like to be able to compare the style of the painters now and after working at the studio
-I want to see the skill level now, and then working with the studio under deadlines etc.

So it\'s all just personal curiosity, but I just wanna make clear that it\'s nothing negative. I am VEEEEERRRRRYYYY curios.

I saw Kornals piece at GDUK, very neat and clean.

And the beastman is another nice job. Judging from what i saw there his style is pretty suited.

Will be nice to see what they come up with

Hello

Well I guess it is about time I said something, so here it is.................. I am Tom Winstone. I am very honoured to be given such a chance and should learn a lot from it, so hopefully you will be seeing an improvement in my painting.

Hey there he is! Congrats! Look forward to seeing your stuff in the books. Questions from the peanut gallery....

-Do you game, and if so what armies do you play?

-Do you have a favorite mini that you\'ve painted, and one you look forward to painting?

-For those looking to get a job like this in the future, what characteristics made it most possible for you to land the position?

Great work in landing the job. Competition must have been fierce!

I don\'t really game these days tend to concentrate more on the painting but I do also like to read the black libary novels. When I used to game (a long time a go), I had an High Elf army and also Eldar, still have those figures kicking around aswell. I really did enjoy Necromunda the most though and hoping to try out some blood bowl in the near future.

I don\'t really have a favorite miniature but I always look forward to painting something Elvish, also some of the the recent chaos stuff (I like to dabble in a bit of chaos).

I would say be yourself and if you do have the talent don\'t let it go to your head.

Congratulations Tom. You have landed the dream gig!
Just been thumbing through your gallery and am loving your work. Can\'t wait to see more in WD.

Congratulations to my fellow Pole Kornel in the Eavy Metal Team...:D... Better watch your brushes now...^-^... That is, by the way, a great name that he shares with one of our national heroes, Kornel Makuszyñski... He invented our glorious Counterfeit of Micky Mouse, a White Goat in Shorts that loves Children... a true hero he is...

Ben Komets was also invited to the Interview and he got a letter in the End explaining why he is not appropriate...

They were looking for very specific painters... very, well, Eavy Metal suited... clean paint from all directions with little light, but perfect for taking pictures... Ben is not like that, I suppose...

It would be akward to see a painter who has a strong realistic and a bit sloppy style being changed for the sake of working in the Team... Of course it is a really great Enviorment with dozends of extremely talented painters and I respect and appreciate all what they produce...

In addition, having to move from Berlin to Notts and making the Hobby to a Job is another difficult point... Only a good \"reason\" can make this acceptable...

It´s very good to see the mechanism behind the Eavy Metal Team... The fact that some of them are on CMON makes it all very transparent and sympathetic... :)...
