seriously, this just got redone in 2007 right? its not even a full 3 years. just seems a bit soon. i think this latest edition is actually pretty solid without too many big problems except for the rank and file of 5 or more. but i dont know, i guess its ok? ideas, thoughts, misgivings?

The core games always ran on a 4(ish) year cycle. Though it used to be we'd get a supplementary game or two of something in any given year. Like Necromunda, BloodBowl, Mordheim, Space Hulk, Gorkamorka, Epic, Man'O'War. That's slid, with a focus put on the LOTR games instead. Reckon the last few years of GW's money woes could well be impacted by that. Without those fun games giving the hobby an injection of fun, and interest, could well have knocked sales of the core games too.

It could just be spurred by the economic recession. An easy way to pad their bottom line is to inject new material or release a new edition with new rules. It does seem like the timeframe is right.
