I don\'t think the new metals really add much, but I like the new War Walkers a lot. Having said that, the current war walker is so old that anything would be an improvement :innocent:

About time! They look great! The warwalkers look awesome!

Don\'t like the plastic platform, too small... the old ones were too small, then they made the metal large platforms! and now they go back to small.. not good..

I think the big ones you are thinking of are the support weapon platforms. They are still in the range. These are the ones you have in guardian squads, and mount smaller weapons than the support platforms

Love the walkers...
And the Dire Avengers are cool lot\'s of lovely extra weapon bits ...nice.. The Howling banshees look a little bit meaty though I prefer the current more feminine ones.. Overall promises to be good though ..I just wanna see what they do with the AVATAR.........

I\'d like to see Wraithguard that are actually aiming at something, rather than all with their weapons hugged to thier chests. I think plastics would be ideal for them.

I was going to say plastic Wraithguard would be unlikely because they are too specialised, but they\'ve done plastic stealth suits, so perhaps it is possible

They would have to do some decent rules for them though - hardly anyone uses them at the moment

Now if I can just get an idea on what the Altansar colors will be I\'ll be set to go. My grand plan is to scratch build a handful of the OOOOOOOOOld falcons, you know, the wedge shaped ones... and put together an Altansar army. But I may just make up my own color scheme, but I always find I do that, then two weeks later there is an official one and everyone says \"that\'s not _____\"

the funny thing is the plastic plastforms and walkers will be the same price as the exisiting metal ones

Plus the new war walkers are miles better than the old one

Is there a new avatar coming out? And if so does anyone know when? Have been sculpting/converting one for GD and I am a bit miffed.

Found this on the rumours section on Warseer:

The Avatar will get a new model and be made into a Special Character, complete with new rules. The model is supposedly twice the height of the current one with The Wailing Doom in one hand and the other outstretched and pointing, but sources say that it\'s being redone because studios aren\'t happy with the sculpt. Word has it that, rules-wise, he\'ll be brought into line with stats similar to a Greater Demon. Forgeworld has also reportedly claimed in private emails to individuals that they will be doing an Avatar, but it will get done after the four major Chaos Daemons are complete.

The plastic aspect warriors are nice, but I am particularly impressed with the walkers they are so much better than the older ones.

Yeah, nice looking stuff, maybe time to start that eldar army I wanted to do. Not so sure about the walkers cockpit though, looks a bit weird...

New plastics are really great, probably the best produced yet IMO. The cockpit glass for the Walker is a nicked off the Falcon!
