Vince, it\'s just scary how often you say something that I agree with. ;)

I hated having to pick just one!! For the series that I think is the best overall I chose Farscape, but I\'m a big Doctor Who fan and the new series is starting to tread on Farscape\'s heels as far as being a really excellent show. I\'m very partial to SG1 and B5, as well.

Red Dwarf was fantastic. Rimmer was a legend, does anyone remember the episode when he is meant to leave/die and he makes a ride dedicated to himself with hundreds of Rimmer\'s singing, classlol

Buck Rogers was repeated on BBC 2 when i was doing my GCSE\'s and I used to watch it instead of doing my technology project. The main thing I remember is that the female pilot was fitlol

it looks like I\'m still the only Buck Rogers vote. And yes, Wilma Deering (Erin Grey)will always have my heart :)

OMG, what would it take for you to get RedDawn and I autographs??!!

Babylon 5, i can\'t believe i admitted it

but yeah, i\'ve always been partial to this show. and no one i know understands why. not even me.

I am going to break this into 2 different catagories. Because I can and I think it should be. :D

Favorite Sci/Fi TV Series: Red Dwarf, followed closely by Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica.

Favorite Sci/Fi Movie: Star Wars! Hands down. Although I don\'t think of Star Wars as Sci/Fi but more of Sci/Fantasy.

@ EricJ I forgot how fine Wilma Deering (Erin Grey) was back then. Yummy :p

Maybe its time for a new poll, which do you prefer- Sci/fi or fantasy?

Or to put it a little differently - Which do you think was better - StarWars or LotRs?

For me it would have to be Fantasy/LotRs
The first non-fiction (adult) book I read was the Hobbit, then LotRs, and the Chronicles of Narnia, so I\'m a little biased. I didn\'t start with Sci/fi reading untill a year or two later.

@Eric - Thanks for posting that techno-babe, I forgot how hot she was. ;)

Speaking of which, did you see that Disney is making the Chronicles of Narnia into a movie?

Thinking back about Buck Rogers reminded me how much fun I had watching that show. Now I want to get the series on DVD.

The best thing I remember about the show was Hawk, best played in \"Time of the Hawk\" which thinking about brings up sad emotions. I really liked the depth of feeling and believability that show could convey, though at times it was just silly. Many people believe that is why the show failed - it couldn\'t decide if it was for adults or kids.

Oh, and Erin Gray was something, but I was far more taken by Barbara Luna seen here from Buck Rogers:

and seen here from a probably more recognizable appearance on Star Trek:

Well, there are many more photos of EG around. I\'ve not been able to find any pics of Nancy DeCarl at all.
I\'ve only found this tiny shot of what was my favorite costume from the show:

I don\'t know who\'s wearing it.

Erin Gray was a hottie and still looks good, but I think her whole income comes from doing conventions. She is a regular here at MegaCon. A friend of mine said he couldn\'t wait for the future when all girls would look like models.

My fav sci-fi movie has to be the Heavy Metal animated movie. Campy? Yes. some of the episodes drag by todays standards but the work was cool.

Stargate SG-1 is my fav series currently.
